It was so hot this day but this gig was even more hottter than the weather today.
Tired in the afternoon I slept until 7 pm and I was than in hurry to get there just in time. It was short before 8 pm when I arrived at SO36. After a quick get in I ordered first a big beer (Kristallweizen) and than went to the front of the stage - line 7 or 8. Music - drum and bass was playing in the background, sweating in the almost full concert hall. We had to wait until 8:15 pm before they were coming on stage - Cade on guitar, Andy V. on the keyboards and saxophone and Mr. Dub FX.
It was a wonderful mix of old songs - almost all songs from "Everything is a ripple" - like step on my trip, flow, made, the rain is gone and intensions to mention some and from the new record "Theory of Harmony" like bass line, in my head, don't give up and light me on fire.
I was all the time in front of the stage - totally wet, nothing to drink but with good vibrations and with the joy to dance like many other people around me.
I made some photos and two videos and stayed in front until they said goodbye for the first time. I went back to the bar and ordered a new beer. Dub FX came back and they started the encore with a reggae version of the Queen-classics Don't stop me now and another reggae song (Don't wanna go home?). The last song was his greatest hit Love someone.
They stopped playing exactly at 22:22 - I went out totally wet and tired. I was at home 11 pm.
Here are the songs as I could remember (not really the setlist order)
light me on fire
in my head
don't give up
bass line
supernova
wandering love
made
love me or not
not cool
sooth your pain
society gates
intensions

step on my trip
