On their 217th tour, the electric trip-hop group "Thievery Corporation" will be performing at Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles.

Based in Washington, D.C., Thievery Corporation was formed by Eric Hilton and Rob Garza. They are a group of DJs recording artists who work with musicians and singers including Natalia Clavier, Ashish Vyas, Rob Myers, Frank ‘Booty Lock’ Mitchell, Mr. Lif, Jeff Franca, and Loulou Ghelichkhani. In many of their interviews, Hilton and Garza have often mentioned that their inspiration comes especially from the Bossa Nova music movement of the 1960s from Brazilian culture. The group has a very diverse range of music from rap/hip hop to reggae and dub, to electronica and even Indian classical and Middle Eastern.

The group first drew attention with their 1996 debut LP, “Sounds from the Thievery Hi-Fi,” and “2001: a Spliff Odyssey” and “Shaolin Satellite.” Gaining a devoted fanbase, the group went on to release a number of successful albums with their unique sound. They have collaborated with several acclaimed artists including David Byrne, Anushka Shankar, Perry Farrell, Femi Kuti, The Flaming Lips, Bebel Gilberto, and Seu Jorge. They have also been featured on soundtracks of major films such Garden State, and have headlined major music festivals such as Lollapalooza and Coachella. The group is now on tour with the release of their tenth album titled “The Temple of I & I.”

The performance will be staged on October 27, 2017, at Hollywood Palladium, 6215 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90028, USA.
